# File Sets

**File Sets allow you to manage content on your devices, they can be assigned to multiple configurations allowing re-use of the same content.**

Content is grouped into the following 5 folders:

**Root/Home**
The root directory stores core folders and you may store a custom application icon (customicon.png).

**Local Content**
This directory can be used to store html content on devices. Create directories, upload html, css, js etc...

**Screensaver**
Upload image files (jpg or png) for an [image screensaver](https://kioskbrowser.crisp.help/en/article/screensaver-5dr7qu/) or a single kioskvideo.mkv/kioskview.mp4 for a [video screensaver](https://kioskbrowser.crisp.help/en/article/screensaver-5dr7qu/).

**Error Page**
Upload your own [error page](https://kioskbrowser.crisp.help/en/article/custom-error-and-access-denied-pages-1yau22d/): index.htm and associated images, css, js etc.... Displays when a webpage fails to load.

**Access Denied Page**
Upload your own [access denied page](https://kioskbrowser.crisp.help/en/article/custom-error-and-access-denied-pages-1yau22d/): index.htm and associated images, css, js etc.... Used in conjunction with the whitelist/blacklist.

**Assigning a File Set to a Configuration**
To assign a file set, click the Assign button against the the file set and then select the Configuration from the list.

Once assigned the devices using this Configuration will automatically download the files within the file set, deleting any existing content stored in the folders detailed above.

**Deploying Changes**
By default when a device downloads a Configuration it will also download files from the associated file set. Only if the Configuration is changed will the device check again for changes to the file set. When making changes to a file set (uploading/deleting files/folders). The file set is not automatically downloaded on devices unless you deploy the changes.

When clicking "deploy changes", all Configurations and their associated devices will automatically download the changes.
