Incidents relating to Kiosk Browser Remote Management
1st June 2018 - Remote Management Connectivity Issues (Android 4.4 or lower)
On the 1st June 2018 we were made aware that a handful of customers were unable to register new devices to their remote management accounts. After testing registration from a number of different devices we found that the issue was only present on Android 4.4 or lower.
1st May 2018 - Security Certificate Expired
Our security certificate expired on 1st May 2018. This affected devices connecting to remote management (limited connectivity), logging into Remote Management and activating licences. This was resolved at 04:50 UTC (1st May 2018). The Kiosk Browser Team
23rd April 2018 - Remote Management Sign In & Dashboard Slow
You may currently be experiencing delays of up to 3 minutes logging in to your Remote Management Dashboard, and very occasionally seeing "server timed out" error messages. We appreciate this may be frustrating, and are doing everything we can to minimise the impact to your experience. 25th May 2018 - Helpdesk Article Images Missing
We are currently aware of an issue with broken images in many our Heldesk articles An incident has been raised with our support service provider to investigate this as a matter of urgency, and we will have this resolved as soon as possible. 10th December 2018 - Remote Management Online/Offline Notifications (Resolved 10th December 2018)
Impact Offline notifications have been sent for multiple devices that are actually online. The devices themselves are not affected. Cause We were aware of the issue immediately and traced the cause to what was a minor code update in the Remote Management back-end. This then caused the offline notifications to be fired on those accounts that had these notifications enabled, even if the device was online. Resolution We have reversed the earlier code update. 30/31 March 2019 - Performance Issues
We experienced some performance issues with our backend database on the 30th & 31st March 2019 which affected the Remote Management user interface as well as devices reporting back to our central servers. The problem was resolved at 10:00 UTC on 31/03/2019.
23rd April 2019 - Kiosk Browser Store and Remote Management Performance Issues (Resolved 23 April)
You may currently be experiencing issues with Remote Management, including devices showing as offline, devices failing to register to Remote Management, and problems when placing licence orders/subscribing using our store. We appreciate this is frustrating, and are doing everything we can to minimise the impact it is having.
