I've forgotten the settings password, what do I do?
We appreciate passwords get forgotten when staff leave etc... but there are no backdoors in Kiosk Browser or Kiosk Launcher as this would create a security risk. You will need to factory reset your device according to the manufacturers manual and setup Kiosk Browser/Launcher from scratch. If you need further help, please contact us.
Setting the Default Launcher (Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Acer etc.)
To set Kiosk Browser as the default Launcher on most devices is as straightforward as pressing the home button, and selecting the Launcher you which to use (as per the below image). This would prevent any Kiosk users from being able to exit the app by pressing the back or home button on the system bar. This topic is aimed at those using devices such as H
KB: Samsung Tablets Hanging/Freezing
Samsung Tablets Hanging/Freezing An issue came to our attention in November 2018 that has been affecting Samsung Galaxy tablets. So far we are aware of this affecting the Galaxy Tab A (2016 and 2018 models) running Android 7.0 and 8.0, although may also affect other variants/Android versions. The effects were that the Kiosk Browser app would hang/freeze and render the tablet unusable until it was either rebooted, or the power and volume buttons were pressed which would attempt a scree
KB: Why won't my video screensaver continually loop?
Unfortunately some manufacturer devices fail to loop video inside the standard VideoView component for no specific reason. Update Thanks to a user report there is another known cause, if you have removed the soundtrack from the video you are using this may cause the looping to fail, so instead of removing the track consider setting the video volume to 0 within your video editing software.
Amazon Fire Devices
Amazon’s Fire OS, is quite a different beast from stock Android. Amazon aimed to make their own OS based on AOSP while remaining completely independent of all Google Play Services and certifications, instead favouring their own Amazon services. One downside to this is that Kiosk Browser cannot be set as a default launcher on the device, meaning you cannot truly lock it down from accessing the rest of the device. Kiosk Launcher cannot be setup as the device owner and will not work at all. Kio

KB: Why won't Kiosk Browser launch?
Why won't Kiosk Browser launch? Some device manufacturers prevent switching of launchers programmatically which means we cannot automatically prompt to switch launchers. Device manufacturers known to have this issue are Xiaomi & Huawei however some users have reported issues with Lenovo & Acer devices. We have put together an article that details how you can set the default launcher on various devices, that don't have the prompt to switch launchers. You can find this article [here](https:
