Setting the Default Launcher (Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Acer etc.)
To set Kiosk Browser as the default Launcher on most devices is as straightforward as pressing the home button, and selecting the Launcher you which to use (as per the below image). I've forgotten the settings password, what do I do?
We appreciate passwords get forgotten when staff leave etc... but there are no backdoors in Kiosk Browser as this would create a security risk. You will need to factory reset your device according to the manufacturers manual and setup Kiosk Browser from scratch. If you need further help, please contact us.
Amazon Fire Devices
Amazon’s Fire OS, is quite a different beast from stock Android. Amazon aimed to make their own OS based on AOSP while remaining completely independent of all Google Play Services and certifications, instead favouring their own Amazon services. One downside to this is that Kiosk Browser cannot be set as a default launcher on the device, meaning you cannot truly lock it down from accessing the rest of the device. KB: Why do my settings keep resetting?
If you have exported a configuration file to your device (via Settings > Admin > Export XML) Kiosk Browser will automatically re-import it every time the app restarts (such as a reboot or if the app crashes for some reason). Please ensure you do not have an XML file called "kioskbrowserconfig.xml" in the root storage directory on the device. You can delete this file via Settings > Admin > Delete Exported XML.
KB: Why won't my video screensaver continually loop?
Unfortunately some manufacturer devices fail to loop video inside the standard VideoView component for no specific reason. Update Thanks to a user report there is another known cause, if you have removed the soundtrack from the video you are using this may cause the looping to fail, so instead of removing the track consider setting the video volume to 0 within your video editing software.

KB: How to stop white flash between page loads
On some devices (typically anything running Android 4.3 or lower) you may see a white page when clicking links or reloading the home page. There is a work around which involves turning off hardware acceleration. Workaround Go to Settings > Advanced > Use Hardware Acceleration. Please note that turning this off is known to prevent video playback within the browser.
